1999 after several years of working as teacher and internet developer for several schools in Berlin I wanted to try something new. Together with Petra Tesch, a collegue and good friend, we had the idea to develop an online summer course for woman journalists. The idea was to teach, support and motivate them to use online tools for their work. We could find 20 journalists eager to participate and we could get some money from de European Funds.

We give our child the name of Journalistinnen Online. It run from August 1999 to August 2000. After our very interesting and enriching experience with this way of teaching and working we decided to found and launch one of the first online learning plattforms in Germany. We won a prize for our business plan web-teachers but it was too early for the Germans risk and bet on “Online Bildung”. After two years my collegue decided to go because we weren’t making enough money, uhhhh.

After that I decided to continue investigating interesting and exciting ways to teach, learn and play with the internet. I am still on it!
